Naturopathic Medicine is a science and philosophy of healing based on your body’s inherent ability to heal itself.
As Naturopathic doctors, we focus on preventing illness and treating the underlying cause of disease using a wide-variety of natural therapies. You do not have to be sick to see a Naturopathic doctor. There are many dietary and lifestyle changes we can help you adopt to improve your overall health and prevent future illness.
Naturopathic doctors and Medical Doctors diagnose and treat many of the same conditions. In other words, Naturopathic doctors are primary health care practitioners, extensively trained to diagnose and treat illness. Throughout our four-year post-graduate degree, we must pass two sets of standardized board examinations before we can legally use the title of Naturopathic Doctor in regulated states and provinces, such as Ontario.
Naturopathic doctors employ a diverse number of natural therapies in our treatment of illness. These forms of therapy include; Clinical Nutrition & Supplements, Botanical (herbal) medicine, Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Massage, and Lifestyle Counselling.
