Reiki Master

Being from Ireland it’s not difficult to be curious about what’s going on around me. We Irish are steeped in tradition and tend to be life seekers. So when a friend of mine in Dublin suggested I treat myself to a Reiki treatment, I didn’t ask too many questions and that is when my journey into energy therapy began.

2003 is when I received that first Reiki treatment. I found the experience enlightening and decided to learn more about Reiki and its origins. Using the Internet as my research tool I found so much information I was a little overwhelmed as well as a little confused. I decided to find myself a Reiki Master/Practitioner with whom I felt a connection. I asked for help from the universe and was led to Mindful Matters where I met Reiki Masters, Bob and Theresa Thomas both members of the Canadian Reiki Association. In 2004 I completed first and second degree Reiki. I also took a course on Axiatonal Alignment that same year. I went on to take the Reiki Master level and in 2006 completed Beyond Reiki Master. I have also studied Integrated Energy Therapy, but have always found Reiki to be my main focus in relation to energy work.
In the time I have been a Reiki practitioner it has become very obvious to me that human beings encounter stress on a daily basis, it’s almost inevitable. Therefore keeping the body’s energy system healthy is very important.
